There aren’t enough accolades to describe the restoration that they achieved with an heirloom 1935 Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary that my father had as a child. I was heartbroken when I saw what had happened to my wedding album. We had the cover that deteriorates over time. Bella Becho not only fixed our issue, they gave me back a better product that I originally had. The album is absolutely beautiful and the process couldn’t have been easier and the staff is fun to work with. We got married in 1985 so I did not hold much hope that we could get our album fixed. But Bella Becho did a beautiful job.

I researched several companies before settling on Bella. My “baby,” my very special Bible, could not be sent away to just any company. After talking to the rep on the phone, I was able to trust they would treat my Bible with tender care. My Bible was a gift from a former youth choir and while so very special to me, was inexpensive to begin with. After much use over many years, the cover was tattered and the binding was falling apart. I wondered if it could be saved. The answer is YES! I splurged on a leather cover in the most beautiful orange. My Bible was returned to me in about 5 weeks better than new! The cover of my wedding album from 1993 was disintegrating. Bella Becho rebound it for me in a beautiful leather of my choice. They were able to add the album title, our names, and year of wedding on the front so it is very similar to the original. They were also able to add this information to the spine which was nice. Bella Becho’s instructions were easy to follow for removing my photo pages from the original album and for shipping the cover to them. A staff member called me to verify exactly what I wanted. I was so pleased with the new binding they produced for me and would not hesitate to use their services again when needed.

I recently (Jan 2020) had my album repaired. It had a covering that had turned sticky and it seems there was a history of this occurring with this album from 1983. Bella Becho company made it so easy for me to send my album from Indiana to Texas and order a repair of my album. Staff at Bella Becho were so polite and clear in their instructions. I couldn’t be happier that I chose Bella Becho to repair and re-bind my beloved study bible! Deborah explained the options and what would be done to complete the repair. She had a large assortment of material and color choices, of fonts and design embossments. Most of all, she treated my bible as something dear to me, not just another project. When our wedding album from 1979 was in its 43rd year the cover material began to deteriorate, Bella Becho knew exactly what to do and how to restore, or in our case, recreate our wedding album. I say recreate because not only did the album covers need replaced, the silk liners on the insides of the covers were badly faded…

Our album ended up not getting restored, but rather recreated, with improvements. Jeff at Bella Becho discussed all of the details at length with me and thoroughly covered all of the material and embossing options for the new album. We ended up with a much better version of our original album, made with better materials, that fit our original pages better than our old album. We chose embossing which was very close to our original, and reused the brass oval framed cover photo from our original album. The result is an album that looks like our original, but it’s better!

When the album was about done, I asked Jeff if Bella Becho could make an attractive storage box for the new album to protect it from dust, fading, and accidents. He discussed this with Deborah, the founder and owner of Bella Becho. They came up with a beautiful box, coordinated and embossed to compliment and protect the album wherever, and however long it may be stored.

We are very pleased with the results and with the experience we had working with Bella Becho. They were able to do things for us that I don’t think we could have gotten done anywhere else. This custom work was not inexpensive, and it took time to plan, to schedule, and to create, but it turned our worn out old wedding album into a beautiful, durable, and well protected family heirloom. I researched several binderies to restore our family bible that was from the 1800’s. Once I spoke to Bella Becho I was certain they were the best people to handle this project. They replaced an old Art Leather wedding album cover that had become sticky and deteriorated. After searching for options to replace or repair my album, Bella Becho was the best option. While I was a little concerned about mailing my old album(without the pictures), it was a an easy process and they did a fabulous job. I received a call from the company as soon as they received my album and they were very helpful in explaining my options. I decided to go with a real leather cover and they were able to add the same lettering as my original had. My mother’s Dickson Bible (her old one) was in my sister’s garage after Mother passed away, and I asked her what she was going to do with it (it was in terrible condition…don’t know how long it had been in the garage, moved around several times with my sister’s family, and generally, neglected, and abused.) There was even a video of how you remove the pages! The day we talked at length so that we could choose the color of the new album, we were getting more and more excited. During our 30th wedding anniversary week, I pulled out our wedding book to go through with our daughter. I was horrified as the leather binding and front and back covers were sticky, like the book hadn’t been stored properly. It was actually sticking to its keepsake box.

Bella Becho did a great job of restoring our 40-year old wedding album! The material on the wedding album cover had deteriorated so much, I had to seek out professionals to repair it. From the initial email, everyone I communicated with at Bella Becho was friendly and eager to accomplish what I wanted! I probably spoke to 3 or 4 employees; they were all very helpful, easy to communicate with, and above all, wanted the job to be done right.

The restored project was everything I had hoped! One of the employees even suggested having our names and date embossed on the front. That was an awesome idea and it looked great on the album cover! It was worth the wait (about 8 weeks) to have the job done to perfection!

At first I was surprised at the cost to replace the pseudo leather on our wedding album that had degraded despite good storage as I discovered that our wedding album was not real leather and had become sticky and messy.
I did comparative shopping and Bella Becho was more fair-priced that other companies (with great customer support) and we are so happy with the end result.

Last spring, as we pulled out our wedding album to share with our daughter who got engaged, we discovered that the album cover had deteriorated and become very sticky. I ordered a bound book for my wife’s 50th birthday. I’m so pleased I found Deborah Karchmer and her team. Communication was easy, prompt, and professional. I contacted Bella Becho in May 2021 about restoring a Bible my husband had purchased in 1987. He just re-dedicated his life to Jesus and wrote in it many things. He took it everywhere. In a few years the binding gave way and he started losing pages. We were unable to replace it, so put it on a shelf. In May I had an idea to have that Bible restored. I researched companies and chose Bella to do the restoration. I sent them some pictures. They got back to me the same day with an estimate. The next day I sent them the Bible. They called me with a plan and worked with me to make sure it was back by Father’s Day. They did an excellent job. Knowing that a person spent so much time and effort personally doing a perfect job makes me very happy and appreciative. A lot of work went into the restoration. I would recommend Bella to anyone needing a book restored.

I have had several bibles rebound in goatskin leather rather than replacing, as the pages have years of notes, and to replace with similar “paper quality”, I would likely need to upgrade to a high quality leather bible. Once that decision is made, then do I want to add a little extra expense in order to customize, to make it mine? If so, then I wholeheartedly can affirm BellaBecho for their creative design team, attention to details, and exceptional craftsmanship. When I told Deborah that I lived on a hobby farm with goats, named Rose-N-Does, and my favorite goat was named Cali; her design for a custom rebind produced a goat, named Cali, with a rose; a family legacy. My wife and I sent our 33 year old wedding album cover to Bella Becho Book Bindery (i.e., Deborah and Team) for an extensive rehab. The original cover (faux leather) deteriorated and essentially rendered our treasured wedding album not user/handling friendly. The cover was refurbished with top grain cowhide from Italy, and embossed to match our original cover (actually “exceeded” the quality of our original cover). The final work product was fantastic.
